Danny from Anathema talks to Kscope about the new studio album 'We're Here Because We're Here.'
Anathema return with 'We're Here Because We're Here', the band's first collection of new material since its highly rated 2003 concept album, 'A Natural Disaster'.
A multi-coloured, multi-layered and intensely emotional work, 'We're Here Because We're Here' has been mixed by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree/No-Man), who has described it as, "definitely among the best albums I've ever had the pleasure to work on," and further develops the band's uniquely melancholy brand of epic song-writing.
Available as a limited special edition rigid digi-book with a 16 page booklet, which features the album on CD plus a DVD-A with a 5.1 surround mix of the album.

Nice to hear his influences and the revelations he has had in 2005. I have been listening to Anathema now for many years and haven't paid any attention to them as people, just listened to the music. They have been my favourite band now for about 8 years and I really hope they carry on making beautiful music.

i've been listening to Anathema for 20years (i can't believe I just wrote that lol) some people had written them off, even i hadn't actually bought an album since 'a fine day to exit' which i never got into. but a new album came along and i decided to be faithful and preordered. so glad I did, this blew me away. from the start I was saying to people,'its just a really positive album' still anathema but like a fresh wind blowing through your skin. it helped me make some decisions, well done guys!

The new album is epic, beautiful, powerful, uplifting and a wonderful evolution of the Anathema sound. Love it!

It's a really nice album, amazing music.
I did expect perfection, with Steven working with them and all, but it's still very near it.
One of the most unique things about this band though, is the evolution of their music along the years, it's just incredible!
Congrats Anathema!
