  • Despite being one of my favourites, I've always wanted to remake this movie and make it more true to the book. Still love Figgis's adaptation.

I haven't read the book, I'll have to do that. This film has always meant so much to me. Thanks for watching the video and commenting.

  • My brother died at the age of 36. His autopsy report says that he died from 'acute and chronic alcoholism'. Ever since, this film has cut close to the bone. Coupled with my favorite Sinéad song, it really hits home. Thank you for the effort.

  • @maninreno4 Thank you so much for the comment, that really means a lot to me to hear how this touched you, god bless brother.

  • Read the back* hehe should have checked before posting

  • Then you definately must read the book. I was the same, I picked up the dvd at some retail store and read the book: "Ben is an alcoholic who's life is out of control."

Well, my name is also Ben! And I guess the rest of the sentence hit home too, so I bought it, watched it, loved it. It wasn't until a couple of years later that I paid attention during the opening credits and discovered it was based on a book. On a whim, I found a copy for 97 cents on ebay and bought it. It changed my life dude.
