Starts at 0:20. You can hear this FAX alarm all 12 minutes on 4610 kHz SSB (For example : 10:00; 10:12; 10:24; 10:36...). There are some softwares to decode these HF weather FAX. (WXsat...). Received on December, 22nd 2009 - 10:00 UTC. Antenna : G6's built-in (50cm).
Update : It's Northwood weather FAX.

  • It's just a black-to-white gradient spanning ten lines

  • They are fun, Il post some of the ones Iv decoded =] the 'alarm' sound is actually the radio equivalent of a TV's Test Card. on the fax images they are shades of grey, black and whit bars and noise pattern :) very small though at the bottom of the image received.

    Using SpecLabs sig gen and MultiPSK I forced it to draw a test card, Il post that too :D
