FFXI: Shiva Prime

Oh well. Anyway, I think the problem with the more recent videos was that I tried to get 100% qaality on them. Not sure, but that's just a guess. I'll experiment on that later.

But, back to this video. Henji, Japolo, and I took on Shive Prime. Henji went in as a 73 PLD/WAR, Jap as a WHM/SMN, and myself as a 72 SAM/WAR. I figured that /war would be a wiser choice than /thf on this run.

We were trying to collect ours whispers, but we also wanted to see if we could do this without a lot of help, and it looks like we trio'd it pretty easily. Shiva managed to kill us the first time. Her magic seemed a lot stronger as Heavenly Strike managed to do way more damage, even with barbliz.

I somehow managed to pull a lot of hate away from Henji at this end. Not sure how that happened since my WS damage to seemed to be lacking. I know the avatars are a bit damage-resistant, but geez. Anyway, with Third Eye, Seigan, and my evasion gear, it wasn't too much of a problem.

So what's the difference between Shiva and Shiva Prime? And where does this battle take place? A pocket dimension?

I think they gave her clothes in at least one other one. Garuda, the wind avatar does not, however. :O

"Prime" is added to all the avatar's names when you fight them inside the protocrystal. They act on their own. No summoner to control them. The battle itself takes place uh...Inside the protocrystal, I believe. The areas look slightly different (in terms of color) depending on which avatar you fighting. Each elemental protocrystal is located in a different area, too.

Actually it's a type of spirit realm that's linked to the Proto Crystal. Like a spirit prison I think As for Shiva, I don't know. I can't think of Too many points where she was depicted with actual cloths.
