@LostRituals 'Tis true! Happy are those who are favoured by Aphrodite, for what is more natural and healthy than the joys of love? Even the grim Lord Hades, ruler of Darkness, could not escape its grasp! It helps to talk with atheists about their beliefs.

Love is one of those concepts that many atheists and humanists believe in. Not all though ;)

The defensiveness that some atheists display w/ anything that resembles the old religion shows a degree of insecurity in the newfound system & intense dogma, precisely & ironically the very idea they seek to destroy in the strong defense. It reminds me of that Family Guy episode that is set in the future when the kids are already grown up. Meg gets a sex-change operation, but still insecure in her new gender, she tries so hard to prove that she's a man by emphasizing that she must shave.

Excellent presentation. Showing the Qu'ran, the Bible, and The God Delusion adds a great effect and shows that you have the ability to examine all dogmas, including our own. Atheists get upset when one refers to atheism as a religion because its connotations are reminiscent of everything the atheist has run away from-- the oppressive belief systems we were raised in (whether it be Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc).
