@guerillatribe You may possibly be referring to the Neo-Soul elements within some of the more commercial tracks that made it to the mainstream (like Tainted & Closer with Dwele, or Tell Me with D'Angelo) - remember that Neo-Soul distinguishes itself from R&B because it utilises the same conventions (and beats/samples etc of Hip Hop). I would recommend you check out SV's Fantastic Vol II & Trinity albums for a taste of tracks like this. track is quite similar to the sound they used on Trinity

This song in its entirety, lyrically, was one of SV's greatest efforts. T3 can tell the critics to suck his did-ddk after this one. His lyrics was outstanding, and he wasn't outshined by his fellow band members. Y'all better stop sleeping on SV...
