It is a simple story about the complex relationships between Black Men and Black Women. It follows the life and relationships of a successful black man as he tries to find a happy place to rest his heart.

It's an interesting ride into the reality of black relationships that a lot of people will relate to, and a lot of people will learn from.

finally, black men are standing up to this BS. hopefully most black women will get that blk men will no longer are going to tolerate disfunctional, ignorant, and immature black women. blk men marrying women of other races mainly white has more than doubled IN THE PAST TEN YEARS. Its even higher among professional, educated black men. 40% of professional BW are single, 72% of blk children are born to single mothers. blk men are fed up. I hope you get it.

@yohanntimban Actually what bothers me is the black women who choose to go with dudes who get locked up and deal drugs all the time, and leave all the good men behind until they're already used, abused and pushed out 6 kids for that bum. Then they wanna come running to a good man when it's too late. I don't want it after that, her first instinct should be pursuing a man with goals and who will be there to support the kids that he creates. Classic, it never ends. I can't stand it.

The sad thing is black women have "first dibs" on the good black men and treat us like used furniture in favor of the thugs. Black women used to want nothing to do with me, but now that I'm living in the suburbs with my wife (who's white) and beautiful kids, and many of the ones I knew are single with three different kids by three different men, all of a sudden I'm a "good" black man? Maybe I was good all along, and YOU just didn't notice it...

I found the sterotypes in this movie very disturbing, I've never messed with a black woman but I really hope they aren't like that.

"Strong Black Woman" My ass, people are getting out of hand when it comes to using the term strong as a metaphor.

The only thing I saw in this movie was a total bitch picking fights with her man blaming her man for said fights all while hiding behind the protection of the law, that's not strong by any stretch.

@LEOJULY241981 how is is "glorifying white women"? he ends up with a BLACK WOMAN at the end of the movie!! and hell, good black men ARE victims half the time. yall black chicks get SOOO heated whenever we date outside the race. WHY? I'm goin with a Latina woman now, and I've never been happier. It's because we love and care about each other. It really has nothing to do with black/white/yellow or whatever. It's all about finding somebody you ENJOY being with.

I am a black man who lives in Newark, with a high concentration of black women, and i'm one of those "sellouts."

If i had a dollar for every dirty look i get when I'm with my girl, I'd have enough money to open my own business......which is ironic, cause that's what they ought mind.

We don't control who we fall in love with, but after certain experiences, we DO set parameters.
