@jinujee I don't know why they wanted to possess it for since it has little value to them. It would be better if the next Buddha select a different location to become enlightened , if possible.

i have been to this place n i have seen this. but these indians have not given the relics a high respect. they r lying down in the musem with other things. if this was in Sri Lanka, we will keep these relics in a very clean place with very high respect.. Sri Lankan govt n Thailand govt have asked for these relics from India but they have refused it.
