  • When you cut the bumper, what did you cut it with?

  • @MikeSWilley All I did was use the template from pypes exhaust . com (be sure you print it full size) then I drilled a series of holes along the cut line, took a box cutter and "connected the dots". The bumper is easy to cut. Then I took a wine bottle, wrapped sand paper around it, and used that to smooth out the cut line. Very easy to do, and there isn't anything behind that spot that you can harm.

  • i have a stock v6.. so all i do is to put a GT500 take off dual ecxhaust to make my car's sound like this??

  • @XxxFrX8xxX Just a set of GT500 take off mufflers or the stock GT mufflers, and an X pipe cross over to replace the Y pipe is all.

  • @jcarolan75 did u get a new rear bumper for dual exhaust or did u cut it

  • @coolguitaristrd Actually I had both. I cut the V6 bumper first and really liked the look of it better. But when I was rear ended by a pick up in the construction zone on the highway, it was cheaper to just pick up a take off GT bumper and replace it instead of another V6, paint it, and cut it.

And if you have a Mustang GT you could have had a GT500, and if you have a GT500 you could have had a Supersnake. The V6 puts out more power than the older GT did. And the extra $5,000 to get a V8 that is about 0.5 seconds quicker in the 0-60 and just under a second quicker in the 1/4 mile - not a big difference.

  • I hear you man. Insurance sucks dick lol

  • @jcarolan75 Thanks! I tried using a reciprocating saw and that was no good.

  • @PFAZ0218 Thanks, I appreciate it. It's always fun at the drag strip to surprise someone with a V8 when the V6 convertible runs a mid 12 pass. I also have a 45 minute commute to work each day - even with the Xcharger Xtreme supercharger system I still get good gas mileage, but have the power on tap whenever I want it.

  • @jcarolan75 thanks man really helpful! :) btw BADASS MUSTANG! Lots of ignorant people dont realize why some people get v6 instead of the GT, theyre many reasons, for example me: i commute to college 45 min mon-sat. i cant afford gas for the GT, plus cruising in your V6 gets you more chicks:))

  • @PFAZ0218 Yes you can - that is what I have on my car. And there isn't any drone. But for the model years through 2009 the GT500 used the same mufflers as the GT with an automatic. So don't pay too much just because they came off a GT500 if you are looking at some from pre 2010. In 2010 Ford used a different muffler for the GT500 (at least the tips, I haven't checked the part number) but they are the same size and mount the same

  • can you put gt500 takeoffs on the v6, if so hows the drone if you know?
