After watching all of DC's Memorial Day ceremonies this year (EST of coarse) I looked out the window and saw plenty of day light left on a beautiful day. So I grabbed my HD camcorder, tripod, and pack and off I went to Silver Falls. I'd thought that I'd find the least amount of people on a late afternoon Memorial Day, but not the case. The State's parking lot was full and the Rangers were sending people away, but I wasn't to be thwarted and found a shoulder on the State Highway to park. I headed off into the woods (being familiar with the Park's trails from last year) a quarter of a mile to the Winter Falls trail head and I was set. I hiked a little over eight miles in the next three and a half hours more than half the miles back tracking because I had to enter the trial at the halfway point. I didn't mind because it was a gorgeous day and I got a plenty of great video I'd like to share.
THAT WAS A VERY NICE VIDEO...
