I am sad to see my nation not working equitably with other nations to come to common ground ... The people of England and the USA have govts that don't respect them either.
In the USA I pay more taxes than I would in any SE Asian Nation ... land of the free? Too many regulations, victimless laws, and taxes ... our nation is under more control than it was under King George of England in the 1770's.
Why do the extreme wealthy not want the average people to have freedom?

swamimans- supporters of the Shah- I saw a number of them making it clear they support the Islamic Revolutio and if they don't who could blame them. This is a despotic regime that regularly brainwashes poor and uneducted Iranians in vitriol against the west. It is a regime that executes minors and homosexuals on dubious charges, it is a regime that regularly threatens the existence of Israel. As for Islamic 'virtues' Iran's human rights record is a testiment to that.

I dont think its hundreds of thousands protesting. There were many more who voted for Ahmadinejad who werent on the streets but in more rural parts of the country. Those demonstrating are supporters of the shah and against islamic values because they want another shah that forces western ideals among muslims. Muslims have lost almost every country to dictators but we are still strong and growing. I dont agree with the worshiping practices of the shia of iran but they are holding strong.
