  • Hey man, can you tell me exactly which version this song is? I have the Milan version 2005 and its different? If you say "the Vertigo" I still cant find it exactly. Thanks

  • @GuitarLessonSarasota

Vertigo tour in Miami on 11-14-2005.

  • @GuitarLessonSarasota

I just listened to Milan an it's not that much different at all. Same order of verses and chorus etc. Even notes are almost the same. He changes it up a little, but it's essentially the same.

  • just for giggles I have been trying to get the same EXACT tone over here with my gear. The closest I can come is the AC4 10" with my LP, Alnico pups, and a Keeley Baked TS9, yet I am still lacking in saturation somehow. Then I jsut tried it with an OCD on LP, gain around 12:30 and I think I nailed it! One things for sure, you NAILED it on your AXE. The tube Drive, is the a TS808, TS9, or tube driver model? Do you know?

    tx Michael you are AWESOME!

  • @GuitarLessonSarasota

Thx! In the Axe it's just called "Tube Drive." There is an 808 model but it's different (more mids and not as sharp).

  • Excellent job once again. Digital delay, no mod or analog?

  • @GuitarLessonSarasota

I used a modulated delay, as usual. Details to come. I did not try to model the analog delay like he used in the old days. I'm not sure he uses the old analog delay for the newer live versions. Won't make much difference with the drive. It's more noticeable on songs without drive/distortion.

  • This channel has been an oasis in the desert for me. Truly an amazing source for people trying to learn U2 songs or learning guitar in general. Your videos inspired me to pick up the guitar and learn for myself. Been playing for almost a year now. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to make these amazing videos. -David

  • Please Film your axe fx and do the settings for a strat as well if possible it would be really helpful.

  • Many live versions of this song, many ways to play it...

  • At last, IWF! Great job again! How much does EE coast in USA?

  • @wbesack Yeah, I just hate this version. But of course, the videos are what it's all about!

  • @U2GuitarTutorials I'm glad the file sizes seem to apparantly be much smaller now on the .flv.

Before, files in the region of 350MB were frankly getting ridiculous.
