  • about 30 m away? .5 m diameter target. What type of projectile?

needless to say, repeatability is one thing. hitting the target dead on is another. nice shot.

  • we were shooting with crochet balls...

    thank you

  • HOLY SHIT THEY CAN HIT THE 0.5M DIAMETER TARGET

  • i didnt put -1 on these two, that wasnt me

  • well that one wasnt my trebuchet in the video mines next to it

  • well a lot of our hits werent highly accurate and this was the only trebuchet there that hit the bucket, so thats why were were so amazed when it hit, thats why

  • And I guess you didn't understand my first comment "Not really amazing from my part, trebuchets are reknown for shooting precisely on the same spot." I meant that this siege weapon is easy to adjust the aim, so it didn't startle me. If you would've made a ballista or a catapult, that would be outstanding.

P.S. Next time don't attack people when they make such comment. I'm sharing advice and I'm certainly NOT criticizing in any ways on your page. Thank you...

  • Well first I'll ask you to calm down, and I'm not bragging AT ALL. I know alot of trebuchets but I never said mine were better than yours: yours are well off for a first made if that makes you happy. Second it didn't look like your trebuchet is wobbely so sorry. But normally when trebuchets move they "wobbel" the same movement. So even if you shoot sideways you can adjust the aim because it always lands on the same place. So stop putting -1 comments because I know it's you.

  • Also this is the first time any of us have made a trebuchet, so stop acting like a complete know-it-all jackass and stop trying to put down the accomplishments of a bunch of high schoolers

  • well u dont need to brag about it...

some of ours, such us mine (not the one in the video), were wobbly and not as precise, we're high school students, we don't have the money or unlimited resources to make a perfect trebuchet. Yes, the concept makes it precise, but the way you design it has a lot to do with its precision too. mine was a little wobbly, i didnt have enough wood and money to build trusses on the side like i wanted to.
