Dean Goss hosting Let's Make a Deal circa 1986 Dean was the announcer of the show during this time and Monty wanted to see how well Dean would do hosting. You decide.

  • I prerecorded all the prize copy during show rehearsal and the director rolled it in during the segment.

  • Yes, I hosted two times so the brass could see me. They liked me but still felt the show was really Monty's and decided not to renew without Monty aboard as host. It was an awesome experience I'll never forget.

  • @newzak1972 Which, to be honest, wouldn't really surprise me. :-)

  • Hearing Rich Fields announce on The Price is Right over the past few years brought back memories of Dean announcing on LMAD, because Rich kinda sounded like a more laid back Dean Goss.

  • Glad to find this gem on YouTube. I remember playing Lets Make a Deal when I was a kid, my friend was Monty and I was Dean Goss, I tried to get that deep radio voice going but couldn't do it at that time!

  • Hmm, I could have seen this going really well if Brian Cummings came back to announce. This could have been a really good combination if the brass allowed it to do so.

  • Dean, great job dealing with the contestants. Was your prize copy "added in post" (sounds like it was)?

  • this actually aired and Dean, Monty was going to hang it up and I know it was considered for a 3rd season and was that when you were considered to take over?

  • ive only watched 2 minutes of this clip and i soooooooooooooo see Dean Goss as a great host

  • According to Goss in a recent internet radio interview, had this version of LMAD been renewed for a 3rd season, Monty was going to hand the job over to him.
