The Westboro Baptist Church decided to make an experience in Hanover NH (Dartmouth College). NH became the 5th state in the nation to allow Marriage equality to both hertero and homo sexuals, with the law officially going into effect on January First 2010. We decide to give the Westboro Baptist Church a little warm welcoming, New Hampshire style.
Police officers were at the site of the protest. before going straight up and doing my show for the Topeka Kansas natives, I asked if I was allowed to express myself to the Church members. The police response was as long as I do not start a fight, and don't physically touch them. After that one officer encouraged me to go straight across from them and do whatever I please.
After the performance I went back to the other side of the street to meet the members of the church personally. They informed me that they filmed my show as well and asked for my permission to put it on youtube, I excitingly said yes. Then, After receiving great disrespect and being refused an innocent handshake I returned to the officers. Upon reaching them one officer responded that our counter protest was very funny and entertaining.
The protest ended and as I bid the church goers farewell and wished them a good night they decided to disrespect me further and responded with "goodnight ladies" and called me "Betty"
