What I like about Christian Jacobs is that everything he does is solid. I have seen a great deal of jazz pianists that just barely tinkle over the notes, and a lot ends up missing. He can still maintain an artistic finesse and be solid.

Christian Jacob is a monster! Ray Brinker is a beast! And Trey Henry is an animal! This is the tightest group since Jarrett, DeJohnette and Peacock. I especially love this trio "solo", but they also burn it up with Tierney Sutton. Everything they do is incredible. Christian Jacob is the most interesting pianist I've heard in a very long time...and he has chops to spare. Thanks for the video--bring us more!!
