  • This is my favorite movie ending of all time! It's such a classic passage, so beautiful and sublime ... at once sad and melancholy but utimately hopeful and inspiring. It elevates Fallen Angels into my #1 spot for best Wong Kar Wai movie of all time. If life could only be like these fleeting celluloid moments of bliss, it would be worthwhile. Hey, thanks for posting it!

  • The most romantic film every made and my favorite. I have watched it more times than any other film including Rumblefish.

The cinematography [Chris Doyle] is so inspired, so sensual and dreamy. The actors are so cool and glamourous, the story so melancholy and full of yearning.

I went to Hong Kong for the first time expecting it to look just like in Fallen Angels.

    It didn't.

I think the song Only You is performed by eighties group Yazoo but I am not sure.

  • The ending always makes me want to cry. It really is a beautiful and sad love story. There should be a lot more movies like this one.

  • this still makes me wanna kill myself,,,w00t

  • I think I have to agree. It is like a short story, self-contained.

  • I watched a lot of wkw's movie

I personally liked days of being wild the most

but among so many scenes, this is the best out of all of them

  • This version of "Only you" was performed by Flying Pickets

  • Such a great movie!

Just watched it again a few weeks ago.

  • Yes, WKW is a master of time and memory. For me the best example of that is "Ashes of Time," Maggie Cheung's scene where she talks about not being with the one she loves. I too could talk on & on about WKW! I think people who like WKW are romantics ... his movies are about love, usually love lost, but love notheless. Where do I live? Hmm... I'm a global citizen, but my body is in TX, my heart is in MN, my soul in Viet Nam, and my spirit everywhere that interests me.

    You?
