  • the bass is terrible in my opinion

  • @yangmagic0703 its surely your personal opinion but why don't you write down a more detailed review? Your opinion seems to be quite unqualified to me like this. And if you can't specify yourself then please don't write anything because you might offend people for no reason, by saying "nothing".

    Best wishes.

  • @takeox if you listen carefully you can clearly hear that the bass's intonation is sometimes inaccurate especially at some big shifts. he did it once when playing the second theme for the first time and it made me close the video right there. in the recapitulation he wasn't that great either.

  • @yangmagic0703 I appreciate your more detailed recension, and I accept it as well. Thank you for taking the time.

The double bass player had almost as few time as me preparing the piece, we had 2 rehearsals and eventually we were so happy we could make music together, listening to each other and enjoying the great music of Schubert. I admit there are weak spots, and I hope you appreciate how much effort we had to apply it.

  • @yangmagic0703 oy, after watching your videos ... it makes hard for me to believe that you got the deepness and qualification to judge about a piece like the Arpeggione by Schubert. Especially when talking about intonation. In every video you posted there are massive and heavy intonation issues, instrumental and vocal. Can you imagine playing a non fretted instrument like a double bass and playing such a difficult piece? I claim that you can't.

  • Es klingt sehr schön und passt sehr gut zu Gitarre mit Baß!

Hast du die andere Satze auch aufgenommen? Es wäre schön sie auch in diese Besetzung zuzuhören!

  • Double Bass is one of my favorite instruments. Hearing it with classical guitar like this is just golden! :)

  • good !

  • @takeox and i don't think i have commented how good this piece is as Schubert's composition so you might as well drop the argument. hmm. what i have on my channel is only what i played with my band 5 years ago and im sure the bass guitar i played was in tune. anyhow, they don't really matter.

  • @takeox i should upload some recordings of mine from time to time. i have been busy ever since i have been in university. and yes you can sound perfectly in tune when playing a non-fretted instrument and even on trombone (well in fact that's why trombone is so much more in tune than other brass instruments and makes it sound different), and i have seen a whole orchestra of people doing so at the same time. it just takes practice, that's all.

  • @yangmagic0703 oh totally. im a guitarist at the university of Toronto. i like the guitar part and thats why I clicked into the video. i just gave comment based on the performance i watch. i can tell the level of playing from the bass player and it tells me that he has the skill but not the familiarity with the piece. Ciao
