the b.a.s.i.c. band arranged and recorded this jazzy-blues (juze) song jingle for a radio show on WMIE 91.5 FM (Cocoa Florida - 630 a.m. M-F). http://www.wmiefm.com/page.php?pid=listen and the mystery is over...you can meet us...in a way...on the video.
Here is how the song began. A friend, Baron Eickhoff, came by our "music room" and shared with us his original lyrics and a melody and told us about his show called "Abide In His Word". Gave us the "create" go-ahead! It was a cool task to develop a song arrangement to be used at the beginning of the show and end and wherever else...and on the website abideinhisword.com). Much thanks to dear friends, Baron and Claudia Eickhoff. Cool collab!
Much of the photo drama, by a talented photographer Bianca Williams, was taken Easter 2010 at our performance of "Went Lookin'" at our church, Coastal Community Church in PSJ, Florida http://web.me.com/erickbrookins/CoastalCommunity/Home.html , where we are led by our wonderful pastor and friend, Erick Brookins. And the band led by our gifted friend, Robert Gaulin. Bianca captured our heart and soul so we could share a video with you guys to let you see a glimpse of us. Thanks much, Bianca! Most of my vids are usually an artsy music story for the eyes...something to stir the soul. My hope, with this, is just to give you real people to associate with when you listen to our music. Much love, as always...and a pleasure and privilege! This was blast and a blessing for us!! I put my first sound room in the video...my '69 Camaro...already an antique when I bought it. I used to drive around all night and sing! It was my place to be free! And I forgot I had that Spark Plug shirt on in the end photos. Whoops!
And by the way, our album "No Stranger To The Blues" has been released on itunes all over the world! Yay! I am so overjoyed and ever mindful of God's presence in all this. However very small it may seem at times and however huge and overwhelming at other times. I am overcome, yet built-up by Him. Here is the link to drop by http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/no-stranger-to-the-blues/id363351307
OK, this is delicious as an hors d'oeuvre, and it's wonderful to see the stills of the your band, but where is the entrée?
*Delicately tucks napkin in neckline and bangs an empty plate on the table*
And after the entrée I'll expect a five or four course dinner, followed with Cherries Jubilee for dessert. After all, I'm not on a musical hunger strikel!
*MMWWAAAA* from your devoted, demanding fan. ;-)
