In the best tradition of Admiral Akbar, it's a TRAP! All of the focus on Obama and his gaffes and blunders and the obvious fake birth certificate are meant to suck you in. The biggest question to ask is WHY would he issue such a ludicrously faulty and obviously sloppy certificate? The answer is that it was done on purpose to draw attention and suck people in. There is no answer there, period. The weird weather is very strange but there is a lot of chatter about HAARP and a lot of that is nonsense. The sun is becoming more active in an effort to catch up with the solar cycle. Huge flares and CME's are affecting the Earth dramatically. Tragically all natural. On the economic front the silence of the Democrats on the budget is a clear indication that my prediction will come true and that the Dem's will capitulate to the Rep's on the issue of Medicare and so-called entitlements. Single Payer is still the solution to the Medicare issue, and the health care issue as well, period. Business tax cuts and incentives make talk of too high corporate tax rates irrelevant in reasoning why companies go overseas because the effective rate is comparable or less than in other countries regardless of what the "official" rate is. Progressive caucus budget ignored and it is a good place to start. Debt can be contained by instituting tax increases on rich and addressing the employment issue more thoroughly, which no one is willing to do.

Not to change the subject but I've been a bit surprise that I'm not hearing some concern over the New York Times article "Court Filings Assert Iran Had Link to 9/11 Attacks". Certainly sent alarm bells ringing for me.

The fact that he didn't is the issue and since he didn't we have to conclude it was done that way on purpose to draw people into following a path that leads nowhere.

I think we all need to remember that we'e paid into social security, medicare, etc.

all of our working lives and that if social security runs a negative balance at some point years from now that it's because the politicos have looted this program for years and years. What ever happened to the "social-security lockbox" that politicians were so eager to mention at election time? Evidently they left it unlocked.
