@bigjunk93yj thanks man, helps alot

Can anyone send me a Phiddipus Audax in the mail?
I am also looking for a Portia Fimbriata
-
@bigjunk93yj I guess I have a way with jumpers cause I always would hold them in my hand and pet them and I may have been bit once because I squeezed one too hard by accident in my hand. but it was no big deal.
-
I would feed mine once every day or 2 a cricket about the same size as the spider. been a while since i kept them though.
-
how often should they eat? i fear im overfeeding mine, none of them ever turn down food even if its twice a day, even though the houseflys they eat are more than half they're size

Where did you get you Jumping Spider? Just outside? If so, could you please tell me where you found her. Thanks :)

@jadedhrt8 yeah, they are just about everywhere out here in the summer. I tend to find them on the top rail of the chain link fence in the back yard, near our garden, in the morning hours. getting warmed up for the day and looking for breakfast is my guess. Also, look for their nest (don't know what else to call it). An almost flat mat of web, normally in the corner of something. This is a pretty good pic of one: farm2.static.flickr.com/1009/4597336819_6a0f38c572.jpg

@bigjunk93yj almost like a funnelweb grass spider's but much smaller.

Is that the largest jumping spider species or are there larger? I'm looking for a new pet :D

@JohnnyKeyz88
far as i know jumpers are all pretty small but there are like hundreds of types so i'm not positive. when i was looking it was hard to find info on them other than just generalizations.

these are very sweet spiders and make nice pets
they will sit on your hand and look at you

@johnnecron
they are also the most common spider bite in the US so don't be surprised if they nip ya! but yeah, awesome to watch, very intuitive. GREAT vision! i call them the bulldog of the spider world cuz of their stance (broad shoulders).
