  • @turbonorsking jeah... i dont like it. the pads are kinda loud... i prefer roland kits, best price is td4k2

  • @derDennO seriously? it looks kind of like a cheap version of the roland kits... why is it so bad?

  • one of the worst kits i ever played

  • Honestly, at $700 retail for the DM-10...the $500 of a Roland TD-8 blows the DM 10 outta the water for more CLEAN and Authentically Acoustic sounds.. the pads alesis use are all cheap medelis anyway so it's not like they're quality at all...so you're paying mostly for the rack and the modules, and even the Surge cymbals aren't that great. their triggering is horrid unless you play softly. these kits aren't for strong drummers with fast and articulate chops. they're beginner kits.

  • It´s generally hard to compare the products of Roland and Alesis, because of their different price range. Sure, the Roland TD9 is a high quality product, but has also got a high price compared to features and sound.

The next days Alesis EU will release some international videos showing the all new Alesis DM8 Kits.

They have comparable features like a drumset of the Roland TD9 class, but they cost less than half the price.

Stay tuned for the videos at youtube or visit:

  • I am between this drum set and the Roland TD9K2-S V tour, I haven't been able to personally play either set because none of the music stores have either model available to play. What is your advice on which is the better and why? Thanks!

    Band: The LooX

    Label: Motor Music (Berlin)

Officially released @ the download stores.
