I had the pleasure of knowing Robert Nason for 16 years. He was truly a brother to me. Robert and I enjoyed much time together whether it was at a birthday party, school, skiing, an adventure in Europe or Buffalo, it was always fun and I was always learning something from him.
Robert and I had much in common. We both shared a unique way of appreciating different cultures through humour as well as music. I received two Russell Peters DVDs as gifts from Robert. We would enjoy the way that different ethnicities would try to negotiate or do business for example. Robert and I would listen to different types music together such as Euro Dance and some Rap.
One of our favourite Rap artists was Biggie Smalls. Biggie also died young (age 24). His friend, Puff Daddy, wrote The song "I'll Be Missing You" in memory of him. Seeing as Robert and I also made music together, I felt that this song was appropriate for the slideshow.
The last album Biggie Smalls released came out just after he died. It was titled "Life After Death". I know that Robert believed Biggie lived on by the way he would say "B.I.G. forever".
I truly believe that Robert will live on through all of us and live his life after death.
