@4P3607 when the DeKalb Interlocking was upgraded in the 50s....the northbound was abandoned,southbound was razed during the upgrade construction

I think it was abandoned thanks to the DeKalb Maze.

What model video camera do you use, I can tell it is HD and records excellent quality in those dark subways.

I use a Canon HV20. It surprised me how well it did in the subway the first time I used it there.

I just went to the Canon website and checked out the specs, that is a very nice camera. I will try to get one and do some taping on CTA during our next railfan trip.

Indeed it is. Its test run was actually recorded in Chicago on the 'L'... if you can still call it that underground too.
