Gold Lightan is awesome.

I've read that some people have had trouble beating Yami with Gold Lightan. While Lightan may receive lots of damage throughout the battle, its far from impossible, and actually, Yami is a pretty easy (and boring) boss in the end.

I messed up a few times, but the strategy I use can be seen best by the 3rd form. Basically, this combo lands some nice damage: A, A, Back B, Baroque (Baroque cuts the lag of Lightan's Back B) and block soon after.
To avoid Yami's grab super, do the Mega Chrush at the right time and avoid it completely.

Wtf I cant block fast enough as lightan

I punch or kick or whatever and then pull back on the stick anticipating Yami's attack but IT NEVER WORKS. So basically we're just exchanging hits as I hope my metre doesn't run down faster than his.

God damn this is infuriating.

It doesn't sound like you are using Baroque. (Partner+Attack)

It cancels attack animation so you can block faster. Though you need to have some red in you life bar in order to do it.

Like the earlier post said, he is the second Capcom character you unlock after Frank West.

With a Capcom character (Or team), clear arcade mode about 3 more times after unlocking Frank, and you should get Zero.

could someone explain to me the logic of including yami in tatsunoke vs capcom, go as far as to using the original track from okami, but not even include ammy herself, but wait a few months to put her against marvel instead, and not even use yami as anything in that game?

Well I dont know much about the game, neither the character and his series (not Yami the other Lightan) but, its really easy to defeat Yami with a giant? also why  he is alone? where is the other character (the game let you select 2 characters or are exceptions?)
