  • This band went through a bit of transition in 80's from a military style band to the corp style band in the mid 90's. The transition period was referred to as "milicorp", with the band moving "north/south" on the field, but keeping standing 8/5 or 6/5 stride during in the process.

  • I guess it took PNG a long time to convert from military to full corps. Some bands only took a couple of years or a year...if i get the chance, i'll post a video of Dayton in 1990 and then in 1991...there was pretty much no transition; they just jumped into it.

  • well, its not really military style marching, but it is strict. you have to concentrate on what foot goes in front of the other, and listen for siginals from the conducter. im only in the pnms (port neches middle school) band (i'm a 7th grader in the symphonic which is the highest ranking in the school and was in the pecan festival parade this year, i play the clarinet) and I know this. awsome by the way!

  • wow it sure has changed

  • wow, you're going to have to explain this to me, Military style marching, with not so military music....amazing
