civic si vs. golf gti racing

READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!! im driving the civic and my friend is taping the vid. i had a stock civic si with a bad 3rd gear as u can tell from the vid. the gti was smashing too the driver was surprised too that i kept up with him. im not a good driver either.

I didn't see them racing from a dig. All I saw is them racing from a roll. Maybe the GTI has better traction, better tire compound, wider wheels, better diff, or better gearing for launching from a dig. Seeing as this was not a sanctioned 1/4 race, nor from a dig; I don't see any relevance to your useless response.
