Wednesday morning, March 21, 2007 the Dolphin III Jackup platform lost it's generators and pumping system.
To keep the multi-million dollar rig from sinking into the Gulf of Mexico, it was grounder about 3 miles south of Port Aransas.
We see it here with a pronounced list and all that is keeping it above water are the jacks.
Repairs are to be made.
It WAS jackup, now it is a cockup
