  • the A100 hasent got wireless tho

  • What do you mean no wireless? As long it has a pop up flash, it can do wireless.

  • Wireless is supported on A100 using the pop up flash.

  • Hi Chong Ming...

Thankx for the inputs. Yes, you could do that if you want to. I'm sharing this method as a short cut as not many are aware that the camera could set the lights up for wireless without having to set it manually, Just a tip. Thanks....

  • Hi,

Great Video, really. Im am glad to see people using more and more the stunning alpha system.

Which lightstands have you used in this video?

    Ciao

    -Oliver

  • Hi Oliver...

Glad you like it...hope its gonna be useful for those new to the alpha lights. I am currently using third party light weight small sized lightstand. Not sure with the brand...I use them with giottos mini-ballheads to give position flexibility to the flasehs mounted on the stands.

  • 240p We meet again.

  • I have successfully set up the wireless aspect. When I hit the AEL button it triggers the flash. The problem is that it seems to be triggering either early or late (I can't tell). The result is that I can see the flash go off but the photo doesn't have a flash in it. No illumination. Any ideas?

  • @corvette820

    Hi Corvettte..

Thanks for viewing this video. The little thing on the eye piece is a a eye cup for the lder Minolta camera and not a magnifier eyepiece. I believe there are some magnifier eye piece out there that is available from third party. They comes in adapters to fit different manufacturer cameras.

  • Hi, I found this video very helpful. Perhaps I need to put some more effort in setting up a good dark background to be able to take a picture like you did, but anyway your explanations about how to set up the wireless HVL flashes set was very interesting. May I ask you a question ? I was looking for a magnifier eypiece for my a900, what's the brand you use in this video ? thanx

  • Thank you for your very good, simple and very usefull tutorial. You made me clear for the first time many things.

  • @Jimalessa google it to be sure. I believe the tiny Sony F20 flash or something like that can be used as a trigger but not as a slave. You can find that for under $100 if that's the case. Sucks that the a700 & a900 don't have a built in trigger

  • Thanks for getting me through this... This was the only form of any kind of Media that explained it all in the entire universe. I can't thank you enough.
