TIM RUSSERT'S chair was empty on the first show of Meet the Press since he died suddenly on Friday, June 15, 2008.

Tom Brokaw and coworkers from across the broadcasting community remember Tim Russert. Especially touching is the fact that this is Father's Day and Tim was all about dads as he wrote in his book "Big Russ and Me."

  • Tim Russert was the absolute best!!

May the history books mark that.

May his son know how much we loved him. He was a common person that enlighttened the public in a way that was never done before and will never be done again...(as seen by his predesesor on 'Meet the Press'. Tim was pheonomenal. To Luke , you are so lucky to have had him as your dad. May you follow in his footsteps. He cannot be replaced...Ever!!!

  • bigg russ. the campaign was nevr the same. god bless R.I.P. tim russert.

  • The remaining 2008 election season was not the same.

    Long live the white board.

  • Though I don't watch network news, I still tune into Meet the Press when I can. Russert was one of the best and an example of how journalists need to conduct themselves.
