Interestingly, both "Kung Fu Fighting" and "Dance the Kung Fu" were produced by Biddu, an Indian producer then based in Britain. He was one of the early pioneers of disco music, producing hit songs for Carl Douglas, Tina Charles, etc.
He then started producing Bollywood disco music from 1979, starting with "Aap Jaisa Koi" from the film Qurbani, then launched the careers of Pakistani pop star Nazia Hassan and Indi-pop star Alisha, and even produced hit songs for Japanese and Chinese pop stars.
