  • @tpbanks Excellent question....considering that singers are actually supposed to be expressing and acting words! No reason a choir should be singing "exceeding glad" and looking like they're ready to die! I love their expression - it adds feeling to the already glorious music without being at all distracting.

  • 1:20 <3 Marry me :)

  • Very beautiful rendition of one of my favorites :) Thank you

  • So, close your eyes and make a decision. Hmm ... sounds fabulous! And BTW, why are instrumentalists allowed to move with the music while singers are criticized for such?

  • Too excited? Try watching the Italians with Carmignola and VBO perform Vivaldi!

I can feel their joy- it's so Beautiful!

  • Yes I agree, as performers they are simply too excitable! If I were in that church I would be fed of them by the end of the concert! But, they are such good musicians and simply don't need all the performing monky business

  • I couldn't disagree with you more. I'd much rather hear/see a choir that is alive with the music they are singing than one that stands about like a cluster of mannequins with vocal chords. The fact that they're swaying (or as you state "flouncing) is, to me, only indicative of the emotion that this piece of music engenders in the performer(s). Beautifully sung.

  • you are absolutely right! how dare good musicians put actual feeling into their music through "expression"! let us all have expressions of death while we perform! great idea.

beyond the point of movement, what about the singing? at least this group has a mature sound with mature singers, where as a "mature" european group of singers will sound like bright 15 year old post pubescent teens. BAM

  • You can tell this is a North American choir and orchestra - none of them can stand still and sing or play - they are too busy swaying and flouncing about as they emote with the music. Just do what we do in Europe, stand up straight, forget about yourselves as individual 'perfomers' and just serve the music collectively by singing - as you do well!

  • lovely, indeed you are the seraphic fire you're heavenly hot
