99 Ford escort ZX2 STOCK 0-60

this is my 0-60 on my 99' ford escort zx2, its bone stock right now.. i didn't peel out cuz i didn't totally stomp it right away. i didn't actually get to 60 it was like 59 because i had to start slowing down/ enjoy!

That's slow. I've driven a 5 speed ZX2 and it is way faster than that. Your first mod should be a 5 speed conversion, it will shave 2-3 sec off your 0-60 time and net you better gas mileage.

I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION. DONT JUDGE ME I DONT KNOW ALOT ABOUT CARS BUT....HOW THE HELL DO YOU MAKE THE CAR GET UP TO 60 MPH IN SECOND GEAR????.....THAT DOPE!!!

I got one of these for free. 2002MY. Sounds very similar. Managing 34 mpg and the trans is on its way out. First to second is harsh, second to third slips unless you increase throttle and line pressure, and third to overdrive hangs unless you let off the gas, or it just shoves itself into torque converter lockup and falls on its face lol. I love the car though just because the mpg and it was free.

@JbrowZX2 hey man i have a '99 zx2 and to swap out the stereo like i did in mine you need to buy the faceplate adaptor. check out my video to see what you need. you can find the faceplates at autozone/ ebay for about 50$.
