Based on the best-selling phenomenon and one of the most talked about books in years, The Help is an uplifting must-see movie event. Starring Emma Stone (Golden Globe Nominee, Easy A) as Skeeter, Viola Davis (Academy Award® Nominee, Doubt) as Aibileen and break out sensation Octavia Spencer as Minnie, The Help is a funny, heart-warming and thought-provoking book about three very different, extraordinary women in Mississippi during the 1960s, who risk their jobs, reputations and lives when they embark on a secret writing project together. Deeply moving, filled with poignancy, humour and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the ability of a small group of people to shine a beacon of light in changing times.

The Help is in UK cinemas now.

I have never seen a movie that has both enraged me and elated me at the same time like this one did. I've never laughed or cried so hard in the same movie. I've never seen such good people and evil people in the same movie. I've never felt such horror at what people are capable of believing, or had such hope for what people can ultimately accomplish. As a writer, Skeeter is the type of person I want to be.

This movie is a masterpiece, and it should be viewed by everyone.

This is a very good movie (I give 5 stars), very touching eye opening for some and very well made, if you are looking for a blockbuster or if you are sensitive to this subject this is not a movie for you. what i also enjoyed that they didnt rush the story I found the length appropriate.

I missed the beginning of this movie when I first saw it and wondered what year it was supposed to depict as I couldn't imagine this type of horrible prejudice happening in my lifetime. When I saw them mourning the passing of President Kennedy, I was absolutely shocked! I was 8 years old when that happened living on the other side of the country, having NO idea this sort of behavior was going on in Mississippi. This behavior still happening in my generation shocked me beyond comprehension.

Its Skeeter, not Skyler. And if you actually had read the book, she's not that perfect for the role. She still did a very good job though.
