There's two pieces of advice you can never go wrong by following—floss and brush at least twice a day to keep your pearly whites bright and healthy.

To complete this How-To you will need:

A soft-bristled toothbrush
A fluoride toothpaste
A glass of water or mouthwash

Step 1: Apply toothpaste

Apply toothpaste to your brush. You only need a pea-sized dab of paste to do the job.

Tip: Adults should always use toothpaste with fluoride to fight tooth decay.

Step 2: Angle brush

Hold the toothbrush against your gums with the bristles at a 45-degree angle.

Step 3: Move in circles

Move the brush in small circles using short gentle motions, making sure that you get under the gum line as much as possible. But don't brush too roughly—it may cause your gums to bleed.

Step 4: Brush all surfaces

Make sure you brush the top, front and back surfaces of each tooth. Don't forget your back molars. You should brush your teeth for 2 to 3 minutes.

Tip: Pick a favorite song 2 to 3 minutes long and brush along to it to make brushing fun, not tedious.

Step 5: Behind front teeth

To brush behind your front teeth, use the front tip of your brush and angle the bristles at a 60-degree angle. Brush gently up and down.

Step 6: Brush top of tongue

Before rinsing your toothbrush, gently brush the top of your tongue to help get rid of bacteria and freshen your breath.

Tip: It's recommended that you replace your toothbrush every 2 weeks to 3 months—or whenever you've been sick—to keep harmful bacteria from building up.

Step 7: Rinse mouth

Rinse your mouth out with mouthwash or water and smile, baby!

  • 45 degree angle?!

I've been brushing my teeth for 20 years at 46 degree!!!

that's why i have these ugly teeth haaa?

  • My teeth don't look like that guy's. Maybe I'm not angling it at 45 degrees exactly. I'm gonna have to buy a protractor.

  • prince charles you lazy bastard

  • Lol I watch this video while I brush my teeth and do everything at the same time except for when I take my advair.

  • Brushing my Tongue makes me gag...

  • 6 year olds are suppose to use a pea size amount and let me guess his mom wuz supervising him so that he wouldn't swallow too much toothpaste.

  • THAT'S BECAUSE PRINCE CHARLES IS A FUCKING WANKER.

  • I brush once a day for about ten minutes and I usually go fast/hard enough to where I work up a light sweat. I use Arm & Hammer Advance White Brilliant Sparkle Gel and an All-Pro soft-bristle toothbrush from CVS.

End result: I haven't had any dental issues whatsoever for well over a decade now and I'm almost 40.

  • what if i like to have my gums bleed?

  • next video = how to fart

  • Teach me how to use the lou next, yea? I forgot.

  • So... I guess I don't need any teeth then.
