This is a quick run of the .25 with a proper adjustable diesel head. It started on idle with the compression setting estimated. Was close but note on acceleration it needed to be tweaked. Also, this throttle only has a fixed airbleed.
This will be made adjustable and further testing will follow.

  • Yes I did. No one offers diesel heads for the Norvels with the exception of the .049 and .06 size. You can get a head for these from RJL Industries or MECOA.

  • Where can u by one of these diesel's. I need one that is injected by injectors

  • These are two stroke engines. In this size, some have converted four strokes but they too use a fuel that has the lube mixed with the fuel. I'm not aware of anyone that has made a fuel injected diesel in model engine size.

  • Yes, a bigger prop on diesel will give as much thrust but the sound is more realistic, and that's good for scale aircraft.

  • I got an AME .25 it can run 14,000RPM on the ground. but I like the way this sounds.
