The discus in my 10 gallon tank have been getting more radiant and richer in color by the day. I'm feeding the discus small portions 3x daily, and also changing the water pretty frequently to maximize growth & promote healthy fish. The discus are fed a steady diet of color enhancing food with high protein content. There is also a healthy amount of stress coat in the water to protect the fish, and a few live plants to optimize water quality.

  • how do u hide ur filter and heater thats in the back right corner so weel, plz reply so i can do that

  • @SWAT9019 The black background aquarium paper goes a long way. Some of it is just the camera work in this video too, it's really not hidden all that well.

  • My heart breaks everytime I see this vid. It might be okay now, but i'd bet my life that promblems will arise in the future. I'm skeptical if you are even using RODI water, or atleast make a sump for them or better yet make that 10gal the sump...avid discus owner here.

  • This was a temporary home only. Yes, this tank utilized RODI water only.

  • Are any of these fish still alive today?

    Rick

  • Yes, they are doing fine.

The description clearly states this is a temporary tank for new fish--a quarantine tank. It's probably too late, but please don't put discus in a 10 gallon as a permanent home. They get way too big, need way too high of water quality and need to school with others of their kind that you definitely couldn't fit in that small of a space.
