Since Garland turned out to be a waste of time, the Warrior goes on a journey to find better, cooler villains to fight. The search doesn't go well and the silver-haired bishie gets his ass kicked for the umpteenth time.

Technically, he's an original character, but he represents the Warriors of Light from the first game and is based on the artwork for the Warrior class.

@MugenSniperGeek I think the opposite; he was overcompensating in Final Fantasy VII, by now, he's had his handed to him so often, he's overcompensating like...well, something that overcompensates a lot. (I was going to say Sephiroth, but that's a tad redundant, if accurate.)

@namcodark76 Originally, Warrior of Light was a concept art piece for the first Final Fantasy game (kind of an oxymoron, but oh well.) The warrior he probably closest matches is the Fighter (who becomes a Knight after you meet up with Bahamut), but judging from the play style, he has some aspects of nearly all classes from that game (the obvious exception being the Monk/Blackbelt.)

@Thief8Bit 2nded seriously Masamune gets longer with EVERY GAME sephiroth's in, though I've come up with a theory, I think that the blade is directly linked to his ego (much like ultima wepon and the HP bar) thus with more ego comes more length.

@namcodark76 Warrior of Light is a character from the FIRST ever and ORIGINAL Final Fantasy series. One could say that Warrior of Light is the heart of Dissidia FF and the leader of all the Heroes fighting for Cosmos. And yes I love Warrior of Light xD <3

warrior of light is a perfect fighting machine. he fights for whats right even if he doesn't know about his origins. he fight to end conflict... and oh yeah he is the most balanced character in dissidia eva!
