I don't know if Penn & Teller are fore or against guns but I believe them to be wrong here. The wording means that the militia AND the peopleare one and the same. The people did not fight the militia, they fought the English army and formed the militia from the people. The wording is correct. These guys are wrong!

I dont think i'm into the skype thing, besides this public forum is good...the public needs more rational discussion of the facts out there like we're doing (too much damned polarizing extremist talk in politics these days), and i'm on this thread quite a bit so just post me a comment and i'm sure to respond.

"they collect your phone records to begin with anyway" my thoughts on this (since the internet became big) was that the govt would store everyone's email as soon as they had a big enough hard drive to store it...i can't say i was surprised when i first learned of this Prism. I dont think it's so bad...it may help more innocent go free and more guilty be punished (more/better evidence makes for more accurate justice)...plus they dont have the manpower to monitor even a fraction of 335 million.

Now if I wanted to put my tinfoil hat on for a second, I'd point out that there was no "special suspicion" necessary for the NSA phone record thing, they collect your phone records to begin with anyway.

I'm not worried about it in any personal sense, because "i've got nothing to hide" but it's still weird to me you know?

"getting any sort of special attention" there's no way dude...you're way to rational and reasonable...there are people far more extreme than you on here and if anyone would be getting a look it it would be them (but i still doubt it...it's pretty easy to talk tough over the faceless internet, and the govt knows most of the time it's just tough talk BS).

Yeah, gun owners and libertarians, especially gun owning libertarians are not thrilled.

Can't help but wonder if I'm getting any sort of special attention with my phone records and such given that I've been extremely vocal about supporting the 2nd A for every reason from Self defense against a criminal to Tyranny.

A year ago I would have told myself that sort of thinking was paranoid and crazy.

I'm flabbergasted they even have the capability of soaking up that many records

I agree about the two party system. I'm not a fan of the electoral college either. 51 percent of the votes in a state is the same as 100 percent of the votes in a state during a presidential election. The fuck?
