Such tour de force, simply magnificent. It is what we miss when we listen to the great later tenors like Domingo. The voice is soooooooooo strong and heroic without trying to be and listen to those higher free notes, no nasel clampdown!

I saw Del Monaco sing Andrea Chenier 5 or 6 times. This performance only catches a bit of how astounding he was in this part. Sensational. Only Peritile sings the aria on the same level.
