PLEASE RATE a 5! Cleveland has many world renowned museums, 2 of them are "boats"! Well actually one's the freighter, William G Mather, the other more unusual "boat" is the World War II GATO class submarine, the USS Cod. It's docked just east of the Rock Hall and is a National Historic Landmark. It's not been cut away with tourist stairwells and doorways, it's also floating in the lake. Let's take a quick trip below...

  • I'm surprised no one did the wineries and microbreweries, county fairs, State parks, etc.

The Cod is a GATO class sub. A few years ago, there was an international rating of all subs for their design, operationality and durability. GATO's came in #3 behind the #1 German Uboat and one other american sub. The Cod is the only intact one remaining.

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leave me a comment. Also, do a search and checkout the new entries in the past day.

  • I thought this would be a Positive Cleveland Tourism video and it seems to me that it is a submarine documentary instead- I believe the city offers much more than this and the title should be a Tour of the U.S.S. Cod Submarine.

  • The "contest" is to promote Cleveland, not to copy the original viral video. Per the rules, off the wall and little known tourist attractions can be featured as well as specific people! A friend was going to do one on Dick Goddard! . That can easily focus on one specific place.

The key to any cities life is it's diversity and I brought up one place many Clevelanders don't know existed.
