Cooper Moore visited Reno, Nevada last October 2008. He is known for his avant-garde music, homemade instruments, jazz contributions and storytelling.
While I found his political speak outweighing the cool "old guy," stories, it was still an alright show. He did a fantastic job of laying on the right amount of pity tales and opinions just in time to break out the CD's for sale to the predominantly white, liberal crowd. A fellow capitalist! That probably wasn't really his angle, but it sure seemed to work. *shrugs*
The instrument he plays here is something unknown to me, but was made with nothing more than a piano string, and a pickup of some kind suspended over a painted 2x4. I would like to make one.
This video was the best and most interesting of those I took.
