Bow down before the majesty that is Kathryn Bigelow's filmmaking! The Hurt Locker (one tagline is: "You know when you're in it") follows an EOD unit, the army's bomb squad, as they approach the end of their rotation. But this film isn't about war, it's about what happens when people come face to face with some of the most intimate elements of war. It's searing, jarring, beautiful and resonant. Bigelow created a movie that completely immerses you. You can't just sit back and watch The Hurt Locker, she forces you to participate in it. The Hurt Locker is exquisite on every level. How dare it not get released in November when it should be lauded with awards and praise! See it.

  • I saw this movie the other week and as I walked into the theater I instantly knew I walked right into masterpiece film because the theater was packed with people despite the fact that the film had been out for such a long time. Unless a movie is really something special, theaters aren't usually packed a month and a half after a film's release. Anyway, It was a brilliant film, quite possibly the best of the summer.

  • i watched it the other night, freaking bad ass!

  • Do me a favor, explain how this piece of shit movie was beautifully written? Did everyone have a collective brain fart when they saw this movie or something? Or are all of you so pathetic that you have to agree with so called professional film critics? The Hurt Locker had the depth, and sophistication of a fucking pancake. There was no story and there was no character development. The movie was also far from an authentic portrayal of the war. I cant believe this POS movie won best picture.

  • I wanna have a three way with you and Katherine bigalow

  • @Netherfist

Hell Yeah, it's crashed my top 20 movies of all time. The world looked so different when I walked out of the cinema. Kinda like when Jeremy Renners looking at the cereal on the shelf. ASTONISHING

  • oh my GOD your just like kathryn bigelow!!!! the beauty of war!?!? your sick! you represent the total stupidity of kathryn bigelow goddammit everything you said here was boguss

  • you obviously know nothing about movies the movie has no substance, no plot, no suspense and its not 'rich" as you say. yea this is a rich propoganda film that is nothing but lies and is a complete disgrace to all the hard working military folk who put there lives on the line for that job. this goddam pack of lies should never have been made so go back to your hair salon you stupid stupid woman

  • Yes I know it's a movie that is based on actual events. So for a fictional rendition of the war on terrorism I guess it's ok, although the last hour of the movie is painfully boring. If they were trying to be accurate to the way things really are over there then they didn't do their research. Just so you know I was a marine deployed 3 times. I've seen how everything is and yes I've fired a 50 cal.

  • @rayman811 its a movie, and a great movie at that. and how would you know this, have u shot a 50 cal besides in call of duty
