No. Sugar Ray Leonard was too smart to fall for cheap little ploys like that. He would NEVER agree to something that would mentally give the other guy the edge. Ray was all about having the mental edge!
He also had enough CLASS to NOT accuse his rivals of using performance enhancement drugs.

This brings back the memories of the nervous stomach I had when Ray got in the ring with Benitez, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, etc. I was always afraid of him losing, which would have been tough on me given he was the sports icon of my generation. But he always found a way to make us proud, even if it took him a couple of tries. A true champ!
