Chrono Cross (PS1) HW - Mama Komodo(2)

The Hero's name in this game is Serge, however I renamed him to Araven. So for this playthrough's sake, he'll be referred to as the "Hero". Also HW = Home World and AW = Another World

THE STORY SO FAR....
In the small coastal town of Arni, a young man known as Serge(the Hero) awakens from a dream, a dream of prophetic proportions. He rises out of bed and begins to look around town and mingle with the locals. He's reminded by a townsman that he was supposed to hang out with his childhood friend Leena and heads to the dock where they were supposed to meet..

Leena is angry because you didn't wake up early enough to hang out, so she's stuck babysitting some kids. Earlier, you promised her to make a Komodo Necklace as a gift. So you head out to Lizard rock and begin slaying Komodo Dragons...

Any chance you'll be doing Chrono Trigger? I'm not too sure but I think this ( Chrono Cross) is the sequel to it

I probably won't. There's a bajillion of them on youtube already.

I'd consider this a sequel, it takes place after the Chrono Trigger game. There's alot more to it than that though.

no...Serge is...well..Serge. He's a catalyst that bridges 2 dimensions. There are events in the game that are throwbacks to Chrono Trigger though. About how Lucca ended up running an orphanage and how Guardia met it's demise. It's rather interesting really, I included those parts in the playthrough but I'm not sure which part has them.

The beach scene with Leena and Serge has a lot less depth to it with Poshul as a random third wheel, kinda kills the moment :P

I'm not sure why Square Enix is trying so hard to make their games more popular in America when they can just learn from their PS1 games. There's a good reason why people like me who were not around in the Playstation era enjoy PS1 games.
