  • I don't think they've given a release date yet. It's still in trial.

  • When will there be the release of the Lightning 2? I know thie Marines version will be able to take off and land vertically while still managing supersonic speeds, and is quite stealthy

  • Who knows. the Blues just recently transitioned to the F/A-18C, which will last them well into the future. The Thunderbirds will likely stay with the F-16C for some time, as the F-22 and F-35C will both be too expensive for demonstration aircraft. the f-16 will be retired, but not for a while yet anyway. I doubt either will switch soon.

  • will the blue angels ever use superhornets? and i heard the thunderbirds might stop using f-16's, and part of the reason being it's being retired? Though, I know they won't use raptors.

  • Yes. The Superhornet is much larger.

  • i'm guessing the super hornet was the bigger one, on top, on the beginning flyby with the hornet and corsair?
