  • Help! I am new to knitting and have finally completed a scarf as a Christmas gift, and today is 12/21. How do I finish it, or bind it off?

  • @nmlnp13 To finish Cha Cha, Bind off as you would any other item by knitting one stitch, then a second and passing the first stitch over the second. Knit one additional stitch and pass first over second. Continue in this manner until you have two stitches remaining. Cut through the 5th open box. Fold cut edge over and line up boxes to hem the end and continue to bind off until 1 stitch remains. Cut a piece of flat yarn in matching color. Pull cut piece through remaining stitch and remove needle

  • @nmlnp13 Continuing from below... Weave one end of flat yarn through edge of stitch and knot tails together. Bury the tails and enjoy the scarf. The flat yarn will not show as ruffles will cover. NOTE: **If you want end to really flair like cast on, when binding off, knit every other box and not every box so extra fabric will exist and stitches will be loose.** Good luck!
