Lambchop are having concert in my town these days so I was searching youtube for some of their songs and found this cover. I love Sisters and the original song but I think this is brilliant. Love it.

The sisters have done some great covers - Jolene, Emma, Gimme Gimme etc and reinvented those songs.

About time someone returned the compliment with a bit of creativity instead of the usual goth crap.

Oh my! What a great cover. The Black Kites offered a great tribute with Lucretia, My Reflection as well. In both instances the bands are offering something new and fresh to the sound, not simply mimicking it.

@badsign1980 I don't understand. Is this cover the only song you've heard by them? While this isn't a bad cover, if all Lambchop's music sounded like this cover, I wouldn't be into them. Thing is, they have a lot of songs that are truly their own. If you're actually interested, I would look at "Up With People" and "The Man Who Loved Beer". I am not saying you'll like these... I am saying these are examples of talent.

This is what covers are SUPPOSED to be - none of this its-the-exact-as-the-original-­just-with-different-musicians rubbish. Why bother covering a song if you're not going to do anything with it and make it your own?
