The 3D smartphone battle is just beginning to heat up in the United States. Sprint was the first to market with the HTC EVO 3D, but the LG Optimus 3D (coming to the States as AT&T's LG Thrill 4G) is hot on its heels. The EVO 3D is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 4.3-inch high-resolution qHD display, dual 5-megapixel cameras, a front-facing shooter, and Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0. The Optimus 3D, on the other hand, sports a 1 GHz dual-core TI OMAP CPU, 4.3-inch display, dual 5-megapixel cameras, front-facing shooter, and Android 2.2 with LG's custom UI.

They both have pros and cons, but as always, it's a dogfight - only one can win. Which smartphone will take home the gold medal? Part 2 of 2.

@wtcgnub LG without a doubt. i went to the store and compared the 3d content.. side by side.. compared 3d video and photo taken by the 2 devices.. thrill is better. the processor of thrill is TI OMAP4, which is the best processor is used in droid bionic, att galaxy s2 uses the same with over clocking .htc amaze and g s2 at tmobile only have better processor.The ram is best one dual channel. it beats all phones in quadrant test except the galaxy s2 and htc amaze. and I bought a LG thrill. Like?

yo, you can change to 2d from a 3d pic on the evo 3d cause all u do is tap the pic, the options come up and in the top corner (right) it says 3d...u tap that nd it goes to 2d...well idk if its the same on that one cause i just got mine 2 weeks ago and it might be different cause i got it in 2012

@ak48you If you try researching a little in the internet about the hardware of both phones you would know that the Evo is better in CPU and GPU than the LG.

And btw I never do benchmarks cause they depend on everything ROM, kernel...

@Bmonkey3232 Hey, I`m thinking about buying the HTC EVO 3D... I honestly don` care much about the 3D, cuz I think the 3D is only a nice plus, but I want to know how does it preform as a smart phone??

Htc sense UI is Heavy, compared to LG UI and also HTC has higher resolution(540 x 960) than LG(480 x 800). That's why HTC scores slightly lower than LG But LG has 512 mb RAM and HTC has 1 GB RAM, LG has 1 GHZ dualcore but HTC has 1.2 GHZ dualcore. So Finally HTC FTW !!!

in the benchmark the evo is very bad in comparison to the lg...

although the lg optimus 3d is better, i prefer the htc evo 3d. it looks so much better from a design standpoint.
