@klemens3333 Thx for your kind reply. I had the Op done on 12th last month and I still feel the burning sensation down under. I also noticed a hard muscle line, stretching from the hip area down towards and along the cut. Maybe that will soften after healing or maybe it will stay that way? I'm certain that the burning sensation will cease after healing, but I'm not sure if this hardened muscle line will soften after healing?

I just had my inguinal hernia repaired, here in Santiago (Chile). The surgeon told me that he repaired my hernia by attaching it to the muscle. I didn't quite follow what he meant by that, how it is done or if it is effective? It looks very much that he used this method, too.

Sorry for delay in responding to your email. I was out of office for last 2-3 weeks on lecture tour abroad and an international conference here in India. The surgery done in your case appears to be old Bassini or Shouldice operation. These are called as tension repairs. Our operation technique is totally different and it is tension free. Please visit our website to know details of Bassini/Shouldice and our technique.
